Book List:

•Way Of The Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius (Detailed summary coming soon)

I read this book this year, 2018, and wow, it is amazing.  Marcus was a Roman Emperor in 161 AD for many years.  At this time, Rome was the place to be; the strongest and wisest in the world, from what we know of that time.

Anyway, Marcus was a stoic.  The definition of stoicism is: The endurance of pain or hardship without a display of feelings and without complaint.

Also: An ancient Greek school of philosophy founded at Athens by Zeno of Citium. The school taught that virtue, the highest good, is based on knowledge, and that the wise live in harmony with the divine Reason (also identified with Fate and Providence) that governs nature, and are indifferent to the vicissitudes of fortune and to pleasure and pain.

This book gives our “problems” a new perspective.  We as humans often get caught up in our “problems” but those are temporary because our life is temporary.  We get caught up in the thought that we will live forever, but we don’t. Our egos, who we think we are, die, and we go on to the place we came from, our home.  This may be depressing to some, but it can also be liberating.  You really don’t need to worry, because all your worries will one day be gone for good.

Marcus also didn’t mean for this book to be published.  This was his personal journal he kept almost 2,000 years ago.

A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle (Detailed summary coming soon)

(One of Oprah Winfrey’s favorite books)

After reading Mediations by Marcus Aurelius, I have become more intrigued with the idea of stoicism.  A New Earth is not about stoicism, but it has some of its concept intertwined within it.••

A New Earth talks about the current state of the human ego (who we think we are).  And it really expands on our true Source, consciousness.  This book expands the mind, and when again it can scare some people, it is also very liberating.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho (Detailed summary coming soon)

All of my book recommendations will have a theme of mindfulness in them.  Mindful as in being conscious of the the life you are living; taking responsibility for your life.

I will continue to add books to this list.  If you have any book recommendations please email me at

Books are one of the main ingredients for success.  We can never read enough 🙂
