Love your fate

We rise.

We fall.

We get back up.

We carry on.

Your fate is what is destined for you specifically.

You are born into this world in the current form you are in, and you have no say in how you are born.

Your life has been written for you.

It seems the practical choice is to love your fate and flow with it. The other choice, like the stoics talked about, is to try to fight your fate – which is like a dog putting it’s hind legs in the dirt trying not to be carried by the cart which is pulling it.

It’s better to let go and flow with life than to resist and be painfully pulled.

Friedrich Nietzsche said:

“My formula for greatness in a human being is amor fati: that one wants nothing to be different, not forward, not backward, not in all eternity. Not merely bear what is necessary, still less conceal it, but love it.”

Your life has been designed for you to live, and for you to love.

It’s better to embrace and love your fate than to resist and be dragged.

The Power of The Dream

MLK jr. had a dream.

John Lennon imagined.

Jesus Christ lived a vision.

& the list goes on…

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.”
—Proverbs 29:18

Not only did the dreams of these greats serve as inspiration, they were necessary building blocks toward the quality of lives we live today as they continue to serve & inspire us to dream & take action toward our dreams.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho shares the dream.

Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth shares a vision.

Shakespeare said “Thoughts are but dreams till their effects be tried.”

& Einstein said “Imagination is the preview of life’s coming attractions.”

Your thoughts & ideas — your dreams, hold more power than you think the do.

So what’s your dream?

What do you imagine?

What vision lives within you?

The Power of Your Imagination

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. It is, strictly speaking, a real factor in scientific research.”
-Albert Einstein

Einstein knew it.

Buddha knew it.

Jesus knew it.

& not only did they know it, they realized & embodied it – Imagination.

They of course had their own unique methods for sharing one of the most misunderstood truths within humanity, but they shared it.

It baffles me sometimes that we never learn about this in school – The Power of Imagination. We are almost always taught the opposite – Conform. Don’t question your teachers & adults because they are right! yea, that’s a big joke.

Ego has dominated the 20th century but it is loosening up in the 21st century. What we need now is Soul. Real Soul. & it’s happening.

Imagination comes from the Soul – True Imagination, & all the great spiritual teachers & great scientists understood this. That Imagination is not just some surreal & futile function of the human mind, but that it is playing a huge role in the manifestation of humanity & the lives of all beings.

“The human mind is our fundamental resource.”
— John F. Kennedy

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
— Romans 12:2

You have been gifted with the power of imagination. You can let it go to waste or you can learn more about it & play a role in the evolution of humanity.

The choice is truly yours.

What are you waiting for?

How much time do you spend waiting?

Waiting for someone else to do it.

Waiting for answers.

Waiting to feel better.

I’ve spent a lot of time waiting for these things to happen until I realized it is my responsibility to make it happen.

I am in the driver’s seat of my life just as you are in the driver’s seat of your life.

We can hitchhike & wander all our lives or we can learn how to drive.

Where are you going?

What are you waiting for?

Memento Mori

“To practice death is to practice freedom. A man who has learned how to die has unlearned how to be a slave.”
—Michel de Montaigne

Memento Mori is Latin for “remember you will die”

This may appear to be a frightening remembrance, and it is to the ego, but Memento Mori is liberating to the human Soul.

“Of all the footprints, that of the elephant is supreme. Similarly, of all mindfulness meditation, that on death is supreme.”
—Buddha

Meditating on the thought of death can help loosen & release the ever so tightening & clinging grasp of ego in our lives.

Death of the ego gives birth to the Soul, and this world could use some Soul right about now.

“While I thought that I was learning how to live, I have been learning how to die.”
—Leonardo da Vinci

A Herd of Cows Parable

A man had a herd of 250 cows and took great care looking after their welfare.

One day, however, a tiger ate one of them—and when the man noticed this, he thought, “I’ve lost one of my cows, and my herd is incomplete. What’s the point of having all these other cows?” And with that, the man drove all the cows off a cliff and to their death.

He is like a person who, after breaking just one precept of righteousness, thinks, “I’ve broken one, so I might as well abandon them all.”

“If” Inspirational Poem by Rudyard Kipling

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,

If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

29 Power of Your Subconscious Mind Quotes from Joseph Murphy

2

1— Identify yourself with your aim in life, and do not permit any person, place, or thing to deflect you from your inner sense of peace, tranquility, and radiant health.”

4— “Every cell, nerve, tissue, and muscle of my lungs are now being made whole, pure, and perfect. My whole body is being restored to health and harmony.”

5— “The suggestions of others in themselves have absolutely no power whatever over you except the power that you give them through your own thoughts. You have to give your mental consent; you have to entertain the thought. Then, it becomes your thought, and you do the thinking. Remember, you have the capacity to choose. Choose life! Choose love! Choose health!”

6— “Once you understand that you do not have to accept them, choices open up for you.”

He brings up Bible verses:

15— “All of us have our own inner fears, beliefs, opinions. These inner assumptions rule and govern our lives. A suggestion has no power in and of itself. Its power arises from the fact that you accept it mentally.”

16— “Every thought is a cause, and every condition is an effect.”

17— “You grow old when you lose interest in life, when you cease to dream, to hunger after new truths, and to search for new worlds to conquer. When your mind is open to new ideas, new interests, and when you raise the curtain and let in the sunshine and inspiration of new truths of life and the universe, you will be young and vital.”

27— “If you have indulged in fear, worry, and other destructive forms of thinking, the remedy is to recognize the omnipotence of your subconscious mind and decree freedom, happiness, and perfect health. Your subconscious mind, being creative and one with your divine source, will proceed to create the freedom and happiness, which you have earnestly decreed.”

28— “Remember, it is the world within, namely, your thoughts, feelings, and imagery that makes your world without.”

29—“Just keep your conscious mind busy with expectation of the best.”

What Impact Do Your Thoughts Have?

Your thoughts come and go like waves in an ocean. Sometimes they’re ceaseless, sometimes stagnant, but it doesn’t change the fact that your Mind is powerful.

You know it. Scientists & Researchers know it. I know it. Jesus & Buddha knew it. But we still barely know anything about it. Scientists are finally discovering the quantum physics impact thoughts are having.

They’re finding that your thoughts DO impact your experience — They send out energy vibrations, as well as receive energy vibrations from the thoughts of others.

We often think our thoughts are uncontrollable, but this is only because we haven’t disciplined our thoughts – we’ve been taught to believe they are uncontrollable, but it’s possible to train your mind. Thoughts will still come and go, but when you practice redirecting and choosing your thoughts, your life will massively improve.

Your life shifts in the way of your mind.

What are you doing today to strengthen your mind?

Where are you really? By Dan Millman

“…He asked, “Where are you today, right now?”

Eagerly, I started talking about myself. However, I noticed that I was still being sidetracked from getting answers to my questions. Still, I told him about my distant and recent past and about my inexplicable depressions. He listened patiently and intently, as if he had all the time in the world, until I finished several hours later.

“Very well,” he said. “But you still have not answered my question about where you are.”

“Yes I did, remember? I told you how I got to where I am today: by hard work.”

“Where are you?”

“What do you mean, where am I?”

“Where Are you?” he repeated softly.

“I’m here.”

“Where is here?”

“In this office, in this gas station!” I was getting impatient with this game.

“Where is this gas station?”

“In Berkeley?”

“Where is Berkeley?”

“In California?”

“Where is California?”

“In the United States?”

“On a landmass, one of the continents in the Western Hemisphere. Socrates, I…”

“Where are the continents?

I sighed. “On the earth. Are we done yet?”

“Where is the earth?”

“In the solar system, third planet from the sun. The sun is a small star in the Milky Way galaxy, all right?”

“Where is the Milky Way?”

“Oh, brother,” I sighed impatiently, rolling my eyes. “In the universe.” I sat back and crossed my arms with finality.

“And where,” Socrates smiled, “is the universe?”

“The universe is well, there are theories about how it’s shaped…”

“That’s not what I asked. Where is it?”

“I don’t know – how can I answer that?”

“That is the point. You cannot answer it, and you never will. There is no knowing about it. You are ignorant of where the universe is, and thus, where you are. In fact, you have no knowledge of where anything is or of what anything is or how is came to be. Life is a mystery. My ignorance is based on this understanding. Your understanding is based on ignorance. This is why I am a humorous fool, and you are a serious jackass.”
